About Kraetr

Built to solve a structural problem.

Kraetr Limited is a Rwanda-incorporated company developing East Africa's first vertically integrated medical-grade hygiene and surgical textile manufacturing platform.

Our Mission

Ending East Africa's dependency on imported medical textiles.

Every surgical drape, isolation gown, face mask, and clinical diaper used in East Africa today is manufactured overseas and shipped in. No facility in the region produces the medical-grade nonwoven fabrics these products require. This is not a market gap — it is a structural absence of manufacturing capability.

Kraetr exists to build the infrastructure that fills this gap permanently. We are not a distributor entering an existing supply chain. We are building the supply chain, from raw resin to finished product, within East Africa for the first time.

Our Approach

Infrastructure, not just products.

Kraetr is designed as permanent manufacturing infrastructure embedded in the region's health system architecture. We are engaging with national procurement bodies, health ministries, and regulatory authorities to build institutional alignment before a single unit is produced.

Our quality architecture is built to ISO 13485 standards from the ground up, not retrofitted. Our equipment is sourced from leading European OEMs with full commissioning and validation support. Our execution model pairs international life sciences engineering with proven regional construction capability.

Founder & Project Sponsor

Jonathan brings over two decades of senior experience in commercial and industrial risk management across major Canadian financial institutions, with a career spanning underwriting, portfolio management, and structured risk assessment for complex industrial operations.

His professional background gives him a distinctive lens on project risk architecture: the ability to structure a greenfield industrial project with the rigour and documentation standards that institutional lenders and DFI equity partners expect.

Jonathan transitioned to Kraetr full-time in 2026, operating between Kigali and Toronto, to build the manufacturing platform East Africa's health systems need.
